The parish is dedicated to fostering spiritual growth through the advancement of Roman Catholic religious worship, instruction, and ministry to both parishioners and the community at large. In this respect, the parish:holds worship services both daily and on weekends, provides catechesis and sacramental preparation, provides pastoral care to the sick, dying, and those in grief, counsels individuals and families in crisis, organizes special days for parish retreats and activities, and assists the needy and homeless in its neighbourhood by providing pastoral care, food vouchers, and clothing.
Some features of the Prince of Peace Church The building comprises the main Church with a seating capacity of 900, the Hall with a capacity of between 250-300, and a Rectory which accommodates three full-time residents, with offices attached.
On the roof over the front entrance stands a statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague done in gold leaf. A beautiful stained glass window high over the main altar depicts the Paschal Mystery: "Christ has Died, Christ is Risen, Christ will come again." The Shrine area features a wall of stained glass depicting the Nativity scene, the Rainbow of the Covenant, the hemispheres of the world and the words: "With God there is no East or West, there is no North or South." The oil painting of Our Mother of Perpetual Help is an original oil painting done in the Ukraine. It is set in gold leaf. The DivineMercy, located at the Altar. The gold Cross located on the southern roof was custom made with 24 Kt. gold over 10mm of nickel covering copper. The most recent addition, our Grotto, located at the the back of the Church.
